Irmi Knarr

I truly love these polymer clay pens created by Irmi Knarr, who goes by Creativeinsel on Etsy. Pens are a common gift item, but I wanted to point these out because of the excellent match between the style of the purchased pen kits and the multi-colored mica shift polymer clay that Irmi used. The color of the polymer perfectly complements the warm tones of the metal. And the textures used for the mica shift are reminiscent of dragon scales that make perfect sense for the style of the pens. (If you’re curious about mica shift, by the way, I’ve got a free mica shift tutorial that shows how to do it over on my website. )
